St. George Fort
It was built by the British East India Company in 1640 and is now a museum located on Rajaji Salai road. The museum contains artifacts from British rule. St. George is also called that White Town. You can also visit the St Mary’s church, an old Anglican church which is nearby.

Connemara Public Library and Chennai Government museum
The two places are just a few meters away located at Egmore. Make sure that you visit both sites. If you are a book lover, the Connemara Public Library is the place for you. Established in 1896 it is one of the oldest and one out of 4 deposit libraries in India.
The museum is well maintained to date and it gives you a vivid picture of the history of Tamil Nadu. It is the second oldest museum and you can find artifacts from ancient times as well.

Vivekananda House
Vivekananda House, located opposite marine beach road was built as a memorial for Swami Vivekananda who was a monk from West Bengal. Swami Vivekananda is said to have stayed in the house and meditated in the hall. The place structure is really good with art galleries inside, the whole environment is really peaceful and calm.

Located in Cholamandal Artists Village, if you are in Chennai then you should definitely go scuba diving, it is a must for you if you have never scuba dived. Santhome Cathedral Basilica
