Carbon Busters, Quick Ride Summer Internship Camp for Kids

We have already stepped into the summer which means two things, flavorsome mangoes, and cackling of kids on school vacations. It’s a relaxed atmosphere both inside and outside the houses. But one thing that parents constantly struggle during vacations is finding mediums to keep their children entertained as well as well-informed about what’s happening around.

Netflix is good, video games are a feasible escape from boredom but are these enough?

We’re in the IT capital of India – Bengaluru, the opportunities are in abundance for people of all ages. While relaxing is good but so is acquiring new skills during this break time. And kids of today are one step ahead from what we used to be in their age.  This ‘Netflix and Snapchat’ generation are progressive in their outlook whether it’s learning a new language or polishing their amateur coding skills. Kids, now, want to be ready and masters of their own future.

Quick Ride, respects this attitude of children. Most of our team members are proud parents to such advanced children who are ready to take up new challenges. And like you, even parents on our team wish to indulge their kids in experiences that will have positive outcomes and will be beneficial for their kids future in some way or the other.

Welcome to Quick Ride summer camp, ‘Carbon Busters’!

Quick Ride brings the summer internship program, ‘Carbon Busters’ for children aged 10-17 years. This is your opportunity to help your kids understand the importance of going green and conserving the environment.

In this 10 days internship program your kids will be provided with ample opportunities to learn and grow.

What is the Plan of Action?

For any successful campaign, two things are crucial – ideas and execution. While we have already worked on the idea, it is the execution that needs 100% hard work and dedication. And, we are ready for it.

We plan to educate participating children with training, rewards and execution strategy to help them see for themselves the successful results of this noble campaign aimed towards influencing people to carpool.

This is an opportunity for kids to understand the field as well as off-field office working. All the participating children will be provided with a training session to help them their internship which is primarily getting more and more people to carpool.

What your kids will get?

We are excited to welcome kids into our summer internship program – Carbon Busters. Time is valuable whether it’s an adult’s time or a few moments spent with kids. We value everyone and to reward children for helping us spread carpool message in the surrounding we are willing to reward them for their efforts.

• Rs. 1000 + Rs. 50 incentive for every active carpooler enrolled through the participant.
• Internship Certificate recognizing every kid as the ‘Green Champ’ and congratulating them for their efforts towards the conservation of the environment
• Top 5 Student will be selected based on the number of active conversions. These 5 students will be awarded a Merit Certificate along with 2000 Rs Amazon Pay

Guidelines for the on-field campaign

• All the participating students are expected to make use of the materials (Survey sheet, Flyers, Quick Ride Posters, and stickers) when on- field
• Students are requested to enter proper details of the conversions made by them which would include:
• Survey Sheet Number
• Resident Name
• Apartment Number
• Office location
• Home leaving time
• Office leaving time
• Office area
• Mode of commute
• Daily reporting to the designated Quick Ride SPOC about the campaign.
• Students are expected to fulfill their duties diligently and any malpractice/fraud method to fulfill the conversions will not be appreciated and might result in the internship termination.

How do I register?

All the registrations will be conducted through the google form. You can find the form in our social media channels as well. A deposit of refundable Rs. 1000 is required to register. Your deposit will be fully refunded after the completion of the programme.

Kids are our future and in order to have a greener future, we need to start with the present. Carbon Busters is our step towards motivating kids in preserving the environment by encouraging people to carpool.

Children aged 10-17 years are more than welcome to participate in our summer camp. This camp will help your kids understand the importance of carpooling, effects of carpooling on the environment and why going ‘green’ is the need of the hour.

We’re sure that this is not something that your kid will get to know for the first time. But learning from thought leaders, people behind Quick Ride app, and the team who convinced more than a million users to carpool is worth the experience.

Also, your kids will be provided with another professional knowledge bank which includes app development, design, and smart technology behind Quick Ride app.

The campaign is beginning in the set of two batched. The first batch begins on 13th – 23rd May and the second batch begins on 20th – 30th May. Both the internship batches will be conducted over a period of 10 days each. To reward these comrades for their participation and involvement in this green project, each student will be provided with ‘Green Champ’ certificate appreciating them for their involvement with us.
